Advocacy Support
Enactment of the foster care reform bill, the Fostering Connections to Success and Increasing Adoptions Act (P.L. 110-351) would not have been possible without the support of child welfare advocates, dedicated legislators and others across the nation. Nearly 600 state advocacy organizations and over 50 Members of Congress showed their support for the passage of P.L. 110-351 and reauthorization of the Adoption Incentives Program.
Implementation of P.L. 110-351 will produce better outcomes for children and youth currently in foster care and will help more youth leave foster care safely and permanently to live with adoptive families or relative guardians by extending and expanding current services.
